I’m normally not one to do a lot of seasonal decorating, but this year, I’ve caught the Thanksgiving bug in a big way. If it’s rustic, cozy, or otherwise autumnal, I’m pretty much going to be into it—notable exceptions being anything featuring a dancing turkey or the “bling pumpkin” I discovered embarrassingly far down the Pinterest rabbithole.
Matt and I are looking forward to spending this Thanksgiving in Pittsburgh with his family. My mother-in-law always outdoes herself in both the food and decor departments, and I’m already preparing myself for the food coma that’s a foregone conclusion. Drawstring sweatpants are packed!
Though we won’t be home to decorate our apartment for the holiday, I’ve rounded up a few favorite items that, to me, represent Thanksgiving decor done right: simple, seasonal, and devoid of dancing turkeys.
